I came to know about this band from my two American friends. They've came to Nepal for some work and luckily I met them. I think those two guys are the only Americans I know in person. They hired me for a day as a guide. I found them realistic. Their thoughts were quite similar to mine. We spent one night two days very happily, smoking, drinking beer, eating momos, listening to music, talking about music. Those two days were definitely the two damn good days of my life. Before I met them some two months ago, I would only listen to the grunge bands, mostly Seattle based grunge bands of 70s , 80s and 90s. I'm thankful to them for suggesting me such a great band like fugazi. Now I'm fugazi's fan too. But I still listen to grunge bands like Nirvana, Green River, The Gitz, Pearl Jam, AIC, Mudhoney, Melvins, Skin Yard, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees and many others Seattle based grunge bands of 70s, 80s and 90s. What I understand is , grunge is the outcome of Punk Rock. In the early days grunge bands were also called punk rock bands. Punk and grunge are inter - related, I think. Talking particularly about music, I can feel roughness in both genres. But punk is always loud and grunge is not always loud. But there's always roughness in grunge, I can feel it. I also like melody sometimes and lyrics is the most important thing for me. Although, Punk is more realistic and independent than grunge. Grunge is being more commercial these days. But still grunge is a positive model but not punk. The context is important always. We live in different places and in different situations. Grunge for me is not just a genres of music, but its a ethic, do yourself be yourself ethic, a lifestyle, a principle of living a life, and most importantly the state of being in total freedom. The idea of being punk in my situation is something impractical and impossible. But I loved real punk music and great punk bands like fugazi, the stooges, nation of Ulysses, Bad brains etc. But I liked the Fugazi most. They are so unique. I think I'm gonna listen to fugazi for rest of my life like I listen to other pure grunge bands. I loved everything about them.. I don't think I can ever see them live in this life. But I will keep listening to them until my heart stop.

This is the first night of a great three night run at Irving Plaza. The shows were good and the soundboards sound great. As of this posting, there over 11,000 downloads and not a single review!
